Standards:
ASTM G 153, ASTM G 154, ASTM D 4329, ASTM D 4799, ASTM D 4587, SAE, J2020, ISO 4892 All current UV aging test standards.
Light source:
The light source uses 8 imported UV fluorescent lamps with a rated power of 40W as the light source. Ultraviolet fluorescent tubes are distributed on both sides of the machine, 4 on each side. There are UVA-340 and UVB-313 light sources for users to choose from. The luminescence spectrum energy of the UVA-340 lamp is mainly concentrated at the wavelength of 340 nm, and the luminescence spectrum of the UVB-313 lamp is mainly concentrated near the wavelength of 313 nm. We use the UVA-340 lamp because the fluorescent light energy output will gradually decay with time. In order to reduce the impact of the test due to the attenuation of light energy, this test box is every 1/1 of all eight lamps. When the fluorescent lamp of 4 is used, an old lamp is replaced by a new lamp, so that the ultraviolet light source is always composed of a new lamp and an old lamp, thereby obtaining a constant output light energy. The effective life of the lamp can be around 1600 hours.

Q: How is the UV Resistant Aging Accelerated Weathering Test Equipment typically used in laboratories?
A: This equipment is used to perform accelerated aging, weathering, and UV resistance testing on a variety of materials, ensuring their performance and durability in outdoor or harsh environments. It simulates sunlight, humidity, and temperature, allowing researchers and manufacturers to predict product lifespan and suitability for real-world applications.
Q: What are the main advantages of using this UV weathering test equipment?
A: Major benefits include precise control of test parameters, corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction, high safety standards, programmable cycles, real-time data logging, and the ability to run up to 48 specimens per test. This accelerates research and development while ensuring reliable, repeatable results.
Q: What is the process for conducting a weathering test with this equipment?
A: To conduct a test, specimens are placed inside the chamber (up to 48 at a time), test parameters are set via the touch screen controller, and the system runs automatic cycles of UV exposure, spraying, and condensation. Data is recorded and can be exported via USB for further analysis.
Q: When should a company or laboratory consider using accelerated weathering tests?
A: Accelerated weathering tests are essential when developing new materials, validating product quality, or meeting regulatory standards that require proven durability and resistance to sunlight, moisture, and temperature variations. They are commonly used during research, quality control, and before commercial product launch.
Q: Where can this piece of equipment be installed?
A: This floor-standing unit is designed for indoor laboratory environments, ideally in research centers, manufacturing quality control labs, and academic institutions. It requires a stable AC 220V, 50Hz power supply and a suitable water source for automatic inlet.
Q: What kind of data can be recorded and how is it exported?
A: The equipment tracks ultraviolet irradiation levels, temperature, humidity, and total exposure time. All test data is digitally recorded in real time and can be exported via USB for further evaluation and reporting.
Q: How does the safety protection system work?
A: The system automatically monitors for over-temperature, water shortage, and potential electrical leakage. It is designed to halt operation and alert the user if any of these hazards are detected, ensuring both equipment integrity and user safety.
