Product Description

I. Application

Designed according to the requirements of the national standard GB8410-2006 "Combustion Characteristics of Automobile Interior Materials", it also complies with the simulated combustion performance safety test items specified in the US Automobile Safety Technical Regulations FMVSS 571.302 and other standards, the German standard DIN7520 "Combustion Characteristics of Automobile Interior Materials" and TL1010 "Combustion Characteristics of Automobile Interior Materials". It is used to identify the horizontal combustion characteristics of interior materials of cars, multi-purpose passenger cars, trucks and buses.

The instrument has a reasonable structural design, convenient operation and maintenance, and the ignition system adopts high-voltage electronic ignition, which is safe and labor-saving.

Should be noted that: GB8410-2006 "Combustion Characteristics of Automobile Interior Materials" 4.2.9 requires that the combustion box should be placed in a fume hood, the internal volume of the fume hood is 20-110 times the volume of the combustion box, and any dimension of the length, width and height of the fume hood shall not exceed 2.5 times of any of the other two dimensions. The vertical speed of the air flowing through the fume hood at the side beam 100mm before and after the final position of the combustion box should be between 0.10m/s-0.30m/s. The equipment has not been designed for these two regulations. If you have requirements for these two regulations, please choose the -3 model automobile interior material combustion test device.

In addition, the QCS-2 automobile interior material combustion test device adopts a split design. If the user considers implementing the requirements of the fume hood and wind speed in GB8410-2006 in the future, the fume hood can be customized and added by the user, and the equipment can still be used.

II. Technology Parameters

1. Temperature: -5-30.

2. Relative humidity: 85%.

3. Power supply: 220V+10%, 50HZ, power: 100W.

4. Gas source: liquefied petroleum gas

5. Seven-inch full-color touch/display screen:

Size: 7 inches, effective display size, length 15.5cm, width 8.6cm;

Resolution: 800*480

Communication interface RS232, 3.3V CMOS or TTL, serial port mode.

Storage capacity: 1G

Adopt pure hardware FPGA to drive the display, "zero" startup time, power on that can run.

Adopt M3+FPGA architecture, M3 is responsible for command parsing, FPGA focuses on TFT display,

The main controller uses a low-energy processor and automatically enters energy-saving mode.

6. The experimental data can be stored in the touch screen, and historical data can be retrieved

7. After recording the burning time, the equipment automatically calculates the test result combustion speed (also known as the burning rate)

8. Dimensions: Control part size: 590mm*210mm*460mm, combustion part length 383 width 205 height 355 (inside the box) (stainless steel material)

9. The accuracy of the stopwatch is not less than 0.5s.

10. The Bunsen burner (i.e., burner) applies flame to the sample for 15s.

11. The inner diameter of the Bunsen burner tube is 9.5mm+ 0.1mm, and the length is about 100mm.

12. Test inclination: The Bunsen burner burns vertically at 90 to the horizontally placed sample

13. Flame height: adjustable from 20mm 2mm to 100mm2mm (generally adjusted to 38mm)

14. Flame application time: adjustable from 0-999.9s0.1s (generally selected as 15s)

15. Continued burning time: 0-999.9s0.1s, observe that the flame reaches the first mark and then start and pause manually

16. Combustion gas: liquefied petroleum gas or coal gas Note: The gas source and connection connector are provided by the user

FAQ's of Automotive Interior Combustion Tester with Touch Screen Control:

Q: How do I operate the Automotive Interior Combustion Tester for flammability tests?

A: To operate the tester, power it on using the AC 220V supply, prepare your specimen (100 mm x 40 mm), and place it inside the stainless steel chamber. Use the 7-inch color touch screen to select test parameters such as burner angle and test duration, and initiate testing with the automatic electric ignition.

Q: What are the main safety features of the device during testing?

A: The tester comes equipped with a fully enclosed chamber, a safety interlock for the test area, and a tempered glass viewing window. These features, combined with manual adjustable exhaust, safeguard users from accidental exposure during flammability testing.

Q: When should I calibrate the device, and how is it done?

A: Calibration should be performed before initiating a new set of tests or whenever measurement accuracy needs confirmation. Calibration can be easily accomplished using the touch screen interface, following on-screen instructions for setting time and measurement accuracy.

Q: Where can the tester be installed for optimal use?

A: The tester is designed for benchtop mounting in laboratory environments with temperatures between 15-35C and up to 85% relative humidity. Ensure the installation area is well-ventilated and equipped with a standard 220V AC outlet.

Q: What process does the tester follow to measure flame resistance?

A: Specimens are placed in the stainless steel chamber, then exposed to a controlled flame via automatic ignition. The system records the combustion time, flame length, and spread, displaying results on the touch screen and storing them for future reference.

Q: How does the memory function benefit regular testing routines?

A: With the capacity to store up to 100 test results, the memory function enables efficient tracking of previous assessments, supports quality control documentation, and facilitates comparative analysis over time.

Q: What is the primary advantage of using this combustion tester for automotive materials?

A: The tester offers fast, automated, and highly accurate flammability measurements compliant with FMVSS 302, ISO 3795, and DIN 75200. Its safety and convenience features ensure consistent, reliable testing, making it indispensable for automotive material compliance and safety validation.
